Hi all

Any takers for this suggestion - we discussed it briefly at a LUG last autumn.

Hi John,

Don't no whether the LUG would like to apply for a grant to put on an
event for the British Science Festival as detailed below? You could have
it in Mabel Booth Room if you wanted.

Thanks,

Gav

Dear Bradford Community and Voluntary Service,

In Autumn 2010 I sent out a DIVA Mail message about the announcement that the
2011 British Science Festival will be held in Bradford. Support, including
grants of up to £300, is now available for local community groups interested
in putting on events during the festival. Details are below:
The British Science Festival is being hosted in Bradford from 10-15 September
2011. This annual festival attracts around 80,000 attendees and The British
Science Association in partnership with the University of Bradford, Bradford
College and Bradford MDC want to give local communities and organisations the
chance to be part of it.
If you would like to host an event relevant to your community or one that may
encourage under-represented communities to engage with the festival the
Science Association can support you.
With grants of up to £300 available and support with event coordination why
not consider applying for an event or using the fund to help your clients
attend the festival.
Events could be family fun workshops, star speakers, eco sessions, health
events, interactive science workshops anything related to science you can
think of! The deadline for grant applications for events is 8 April 2011.
The information can be found at
