Yes it's a very interesting interview - however Netcraft reports that in the
last six months of 2011 the Linux desktop increased its worldwide share every
month from just under 1% to around 1.5% - that is a 50% increase in six months
- which, if it continued at the same rate, would give Linux 50% of the desktop
market in 2017.
Looking back the Windows desktop was around for about a decade before it
became the dominant desktop; is the flywheel effect beginning to be seen for
the Linux desktop?
