I have to admit that Python can be rather peculiar - I swore a lot at the
start of the Coursera course, but I've mellowed a bit as it's progressed
;-)
There always seems to be half a dozen ways of doing the same thing, so it
can lead to some crazy convoluted code - but there is usually an elegant
solution too (and you kick yourself when you find it ;-)
