Hello,
Just wanted to let folks know about an LPWAN innovation support
programme which may be of interest. This was initially positioned as
Calderdale, due to availability of network access, but there are also
The Things Network gateways in Bradford and it's open to any UK-based
SME or entrepreneur that can reasonably participate.
The LPWAN Boost will provide support to businesses that have products
and services which may benefit from the integration of LoRaWAN, a
wireless technology that can provide a range of up to 15km and without
the need for a SIM card, contract and cellular infrastructure etc.
The more obvious applications include remote sensors, equipment
monitoring, alarms and digital signage. Anything which has a need for
low power, long range wireless communications, with relatively low
bandwidth requirements.
The free support provided to businesses includes:
* a 2 day workshop
* access to development hardware
* access to a public LoRaWAN network
* 12 months support
* showcasing opportunities

The closing date for applications is 15th March 2017 (sorry about the
short notice!)
Regards,
Andrew
