[Chester LUG] A question re FDE

Hiya.

I decided I am going to treat myself to a SSD hard drive as the slow speed
of disk IO in Fusion is driving me crazy. However I read that with the new
version of OS X there is now Full Disk Encryption. Question is, does the
fact that I will be using FDE affect the working life of the drive ? I am
not really that up on flash memory.
