Hi Nic,

Really sorry to hear you didn't see anyone there. It was a very unusual
month where everyone seemed to be busy with something unfortunately, so I'm
sorry for your wasted time. It would be good to see you next month.

With regard to your laptop problems, there is a chance that your chip has
failed but it could well be a driver issue. I've very limited experience
with Dell laptops and Linux so can't really offer many suggestions, but
have you tried booting some alternative distro live cds? In the past I've
got lucky finding a distro that seems happy with problematic wireless cards.
