Power management is on the roadmap for the 18.10 Ubuntu release, which
started the discussion on slashdot about power on Linux. Apparently no one
has focused on it apart from maybe fedora (citation pending).
I remember reading that there’s a lot to be done with GPU switching, HDD
power saving, and some chipset features.
I live in hope :)
