Because I edit both Unix and DOS/WIN files on my XP workstation, I've
taken to using UltraEdit. This recognises the file type and does
not screw up unix files by messing with the cr/lf and the end of the
files.
It will also convert files win<=>unix.
It is also a cracking programers editor, with context formatting, auto
indenting, etc.
