Some USENET groups frequently have posts which make the arguments here
sound like a Tellytubby chat line. Couple of years back I acted as
moderator for the Linux Format Online Forums, and some of the outrageous
flames I received for deleting offensive posts were incredible. I'd paste
one here, but the profanity and violence would crash the mail server :)

Chris is a really decent guy when you get to know him, and likes to speak
his mind and get things done with mimimum hassle. I do hope neither of you
leave the list, at least before another meeting, as this group clearly has
much potential.

I think the debates and suggestions made recently are a positive sign that
the group is valuable -- things may get fiery but it shows how much we all
want it to succeed. Apathy, on the other hand, would get us nowhere.
