Yes.

Added the following line to <Location /> and <Location /admin> in
/etc/cups/cupsd.conf:

   Allow From 192.168.0.*

Set the following in /etc/samba/smb.conf:

   load printers = yes
   printing = cups

and everything just worked...

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 890 connected locally via USB working under
CUPS at home, and a HP LaserJet 4000 w/JetDirect and a print queue set up
under CUPS shared via samba at work.
