Now that would be a good thing. And why can't one of the main laptop
makers produce a _decent_ model that has native support for Linux? I'm
close to throwing my Portege 4000 away in disgust due to various problems...

Depressing, but they will come through it in some form or another...
They have too much a community for it to die completely...
