[cumbria_lug] Printing from Mandrake 9.1 to Windows XP via LAN

Hello.

I am a relative Linux newbie, I have dabbled in the past but have now 
installed Mandrake Linux 9.1 onto my main desktop machine.

I must say first of all how very impressed I am with this distro - it was 
pretty much plain sailing to get it up and running and the look of the KDE 
3.1 desktop kicks windows XP into touch!

My problem is this:

I have an Epson Stylus C80 printer connected to a Windows XP Pro machine which 
is in turn connected to my Linux box via ethernet crossover cable.

Mandrake printer setup auto-detects the printer over the network and seems to 
set everything up, but when I try to print, nothing happens. Looking at the 
print-job reporter, the print is there, but it just sticks on "processing.." 
for ever more.

The printer is connected to the XP box via USB.

Anyone any ideas?
