It has been suggested that the collective noun for wargamers should be 
an 'argument' :-) But I would hasten to add that Games Workshop is not 
the be-all and end-all of wargaming. For most of my 25-year wargaming 
career, I have had no Games Workshop stuff.

I am a role-player too, and tend to do more RPG than wargaming at the 
moment, simply because there aren't many people to play wargames with. 
But I agree that simple rules are the way to go. I used to own a copy of 
Space Hulk, which I thought was a great game. The expansions started to 
add too much complexity, though. The second expansion's psyonics rules 
were a nightmare.
