Be very careful - A tale of warning...
I had some gimp accuse the company I once worked for (of which I was the IT
manager) of having a spam relay and bombarding their site.
This gimp just looked at the forged headers of the SMTP mail header,
never a thought to his access logs, the SMTP route trail left in these
same header. Never mind that we were on ISDN dialup which was locked
from dial-up on the times he accused us of the crime.
After doing a search in companies house for the director of this
company, I sent that director a detailed letter, listing our
correspondence and rebutting the accusations. I also informed their
ISP of the *abuse* we had received.
The replacement IT gimp of said company telephoned my Director with a
grovelling apology.
:-)
Life is, sometimes, very sweet.

Ian
