It works, and has done for ages. I honestly can't remember what I did to
make it work. As I recall, various other issues forced a complete
reinstall, and afterwards It Just Worked. I've not have any problems since,
and I've reinstalled a couple of times (damn HD failing...). I suppose you
could try reinstalling just the packages it uses, but I'm not sure which
they are.
