I used RedHat server for many years and currently use CentOS (the
natural alternative) because my own feature set included more server
side stuff than client side stuff and I only wanted one computer
switched on all day.
I have been pushing more and more of the server stuff I actually *need*
onto my disk server SAN box recently though and over Christmas more or
less decided I could make the break and switch to a client focussed
distro. Ordinarily that would be Ubuntu first choice but I have heard
they are at risk of changing emphasis now that their founder has moved
on so it's a waiting game...
