[Deaf-lug] Help needed with "Linux" installations

Hi again,

I am trying to install Flash player on my Ubuntu laptop.   I ain't got a clue to be honest. Rather than being able to select Ubuntu version I get prompted for one of the following 3 Linux options:-

.tar.gz for Linux
.rpm for Linux
YUM for Linux

I have tried (sort of!) all 3 but got nowhere.  Can u explain the 3 options, and which one I should use for Ubuntu plus full installation instructions.
