[Deaf-lug] iplayer subtitles

Hi All

I have installed iplayer grabber for the mac and iplayer-dl for linux  
to rip iplayer episodes for personal use.

However I am struggling with one element, subtitles.

I can download the iplayer xml file for subtitles but I am struggling  
to find a way to convert it to srt format. I have tried Gnome  
Subtitles which doesn't work.

Does anybody know of a way to do this?
