[dundee] Problems with USB mass storage device

Thanks for the help guys
I should have mentioned I'm running Mandrake 8.2 which does have a DevFs
"thing".
Konqueror shows that sda "points to" scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0/disc
It was on that basis that I described it as a symblink
Will the MAKEDEV script still work with a devfs system?
