[dundee] Two suggestions

Two, totally unrelated, suggestions:

First, as a meeting suggestion, I'd quite like someone to demonstrate
how to use the gimp!! I've tried it a few times, but I get the feeling
I'm missing something fundamental in the way it manipulates images.
The layers thing confuses me completely...

Second, and wildly OT, I managed to miss LOTR 2 Towers when it was on
the bigscreen (we were getting ready to move to Dundee), and my wife
isn't a fan so wouldn't watch if I got it on video when it comes out
later this month. However, she is going to be away Friday 5th
September and I was thinking of "treating" myself and watching it
then. If anyone else wanted to come by and see it, you'd be welcome.
We only have a 20" TV, and no DVD in the living room, but if there
were enough people wanting to come I could possibly borrow an LCD
projector (just have to think of something to project onto - wall is
magnolia painted not-smooth wallpaper!). House is in Clive Street, up
the Forfar Road, near the double roundabout on the Kingsway.
