As I sit here, arteries hardening after the Gut Buster from the 24 Hour
Bakery sipping on a fine vintage of Irn Bru, I declare our little social
gathering a success. It was great fun to get together even if it was
only a sample of the group and have a banter about one of the finest
OS's in the world.

After the inital "Are you here for TLUG?" scaryness, topics discussed
varied from the inevitable Linux to religion, programming, the human
genome and fine ales with a smattering of everything inbetween. A
throughly enjoyable night with some very interesting people from varied
backgrounds and with varied interests. From this initial sampling of
TLUG I have very high hopes :).

I hope that this social event will become a regular occurance and we
throughly intend to repeat this next week for those who could not make
it. I believe we have decided to change venue to Drouthie Neebours (Hey
still good Guinness, fine by me).

I'm also going to try and arrange a meeting place for the obligatory
Linux "Installfest" for those who have never gathered up the courage to
install the beast, naturally this will be at a venue suitable for all :).

Thanks to Tom, Jonathan, Paul and Dan... (I hope I got the names, if I'm
wrong I'm blaming it on the fact that I just lead a drunken friend home
after his 20th).

/me collapses after way too much alcohol.
