Charity work is good, as long as someone can be bothered to make the
contacts etc.

Also fun is urban exploration (Edinburgh geeks have a padlock on the tunnel under
the New Town from Scotland Street to Waverly Station, Glasgow geeks
found another railway tunnel).  I don't know if Dundee has anywhere
like that.

And writing letters to politions about software patents etc (might be
a bit late for that, but there's plenty of other causes I'm sure).
