[dundee] Problems with IRC again

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm having problems with the TLUG
IRC again. xchat 

    Looking up irc.lug.org.uk..
    Connecting to xinit.lug.org.uk (195.92.253.3) port 6667..
    Connected. Now logging in..

It then sits there for ages, before...

    Disconnected (Connection reset by peer).
    Cycling to next server in DundeeLUG...
    Disconnected ().
    Looking up dundee.lug.org.uk..
    Connecting to xinit.lug.org.uk (195.92.253.3) port 6667..
    Connected. Now logging in..

Then if you try to force a reconnect, you get:

    Disconnected ().
    Looking up dundee.lug.org.uk..
    Connecting to xinit.lug.org.uk (195.92.253.3) port 6667..
    Connected. Now logging in..

Sigh... :-(

Anyone know what is going on? My serverlist.conf has the following
entries:

	S=dundee.lug.org.uk/6667
	S=irc.lug.org.uk/6667

Same symptoms, different messages, when I try irssi (which I've never
used before, so I may be missing some helpful message somewhere!).
