Hi Guys,

This just came to me via the SLUG -
http://www.scottishopensourceawards.co.uk/ -

Basically it is the first years awards for Scottish open source, if you
now any one or organisations that deserves some recognition for their
work in - The aim if the awards are to;

Stimulate To excite students and young people about the creative
potential of Open Source

Promote To educate business users about the cost, security and
flexibility benefits of using Open Source technologies

Reward To recognise those individuals, companies and organisations in
Scotland that are contributing to the growth of Open Source

BTW can i get people to get their thinking cap's on for further ideas
for posters and display sort of stuff for the freshers fair (and for the
infamous A/S/L <Abertay Society for Linux> web site) - Any graphically
minded people who want to make some graphics for us as well would be
much appreciated. I suppose i'll also take this opportunity to remind
everyone that there is a meeting on the 16th but it's kinda of a show
and tell for stuff for the freshers fair.

One More Linux User, Is One Less Micro$oft Customer
