We recently dug up a minidisc player, tested it was all working and almost got around to putting it onto ebay. however, I had an idea, if it was possible to copy data onto it, it would make a perfect backup device. Small physical space and we wouldn't use it for much else (loads of spare discs)
However, googling produced no answers as to how this was possible if indeed it was. I was wondering if anyone knows any more about this. I have the results of lsusb, the (relevant) contents of /proc/bus/usb/devices and the diff from before and after of /dev, all of which I will attach afterwords, incase it's any use to anyone. I realise that a lot of this will be distro specific (/dev at least) but currently all I have is my archlinux laptop. I can probably get the same from gentoo tonight.
Thanks in advance
