As some of you know, and as some of you are as passionate about this
previous issue the beeb and the iPlayer.  

Well guys, it took a massive petition, massive criticism, threats, and a
complete distrust of the beeb by the Open Source community, but we've
done it.

The beeb announced today, that as of today Windows, Linux and our
distant cousins Mac can now download content from the beeb.  Not that i
have done it yet, but apparently the latest version of flash is
required.
