Hi guys,

News out that Google desktop is now available for linux systems. As many of
you know Google desktop is a downloadable desktop search facility that
integrates with the google web site.

It has been unavailable to linux users since it's creation, but it's now
available the link it http://desktop.google.com/linux/index.html

>From what i can see so far (and this is aimed at maybe the Ubuntu, and Mint
users), it's a lot less resource hungry than beagle (Pre-installed on ubuntu
and mint.

And i must admit one of the first things i remove, just because it can take
soo much RAM, and i prefer to use the #locate, for most of my files, and i
tend to do a #updatedb quite reguliar as well), but i do have a lot of PDF
and doc's that i wouldn't mind being index whilst i'm doing a search, so
i'll give it a go.

There is a deb file for debian/ubuntu users - i presume mint users will be
able to use the same one as well as any kubuntu users.

and RPM for Redhat, fedora, suse, mandriva users

Catch you guys later

Arron
