One thing to double check is that your actually using the intel
driver as opposed to the i810 one. Look in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
look for the Device section. and check that the driver lines says
intel. If not, change it. Also the output of xrandr and your
xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log would be helpful.
