Hi Jen, Taken from their web site. Nowhere in the warranty does it state or mention MS os.

Limited Warranty on Data Storage Media
The warranty on data storage media products is limited. During a period of six months after the
purchase, Fujitsu Siemens Computers will replace any data carrier that turns out to be physically
defective upon delivery if it was supplied with the product by Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Software
itself is not the object of the warranty.

Hai guys,

I thought i'd share with you my woes! my (relativley) new laptop has a hardware problem (covered by warranty - so they can deal with it) and I have to send it away! So not only do i have to be without a laptop for a while, I also have to uninstall any trace of its linux minty-ness, because installing an operating system is a 
'Void of Warranty' !!
