Hi Simon,
I quite agree with you having looked at the site it could do with some content. Who looks after the site? I can give quite afew hours to it as i work in the afternoons so most, if not all my mornings are free, apart from taking the dog for a walk!
I'm looking at developing a scanner database program for linux that hopefully would be a point & click. To explain i have a epson dx6000 mfp and to get the scanner working was not hard but time consuming, lsusb, then epson.conf, then 45-libsane.rules, etc. I'm hopeing to make it easier, more simple to attach a scanner. I have contacted some of the major manafacturers hopeing that they will be able to supply me with the details of the SYSFS idVendor & idProduct (model). Epson idVendor is 04b8 and my idPrinter 082f. I can then start building a database so users can click on the make and model this then creates the file to paste into the .rules file.

Isn't this the kind of content that could be put onto the TLUG
website rather than creating a new one?It is one way to demonstrate
that TLUG is an active and vibrant user group.
