The longest uptime I have personally seen is on a UPS in the Outer Hebrides: 
last time I looked it was around 5 thousand days (about 14 years). I remember 
when it was installed...<creak>..and it were all fields roun' here..you young 
whippersnappers....Zzzzzz.....
