Inside a Highland ISP

Robert "swift" Ladyman will be giving his much awaited talk at the
Linux Society. With his experience gained by being one of the first
wireless ISP's in the Scottish highlands this promises to bring a
unique and insightful talk for all of those that attend. Its been
said that this is an opportunity not to be missed, as its not often
you get to speak to an ex-isp.

Talk details -

All you never wanted to know about the inner workings of a small ISP:

* Learn new phrases, TLD's and other technical terms! Do YOU know what an
NTU
is (hint: it's not Nephelometric Turbidity Units)!

* Find out how to accidentally become an ISP...and deliberately stop being
one!

* Discover the inability of technical staff to understand customers (and vice
versa)!

* Learn how an artist can steal part of your network without you or your
customers even knowing!

* Find out why you might throttle your customers!

You, yes YOU! can find out all these secrets and more.

As usual the Linux Society is open to everyone including, members of
the general public. So if this talk is something either yourself, or
someone you know then maybe interested then please forward them the
details or bring them along with you.

If your interested in finding out more about Linux and Open Source
Software, then this is the Linux Society is the best place to start.
With a large community behind it, you'll find Linux Users of all ages,
and experience.
