Sorry Gordon, I did not intend my comments to be patronising. I know
the hard work and personal effort involved in such volunteer endeavors
and I'm sorry if my comments have been taken the wrong way. To be
clear, I think the website setup you have looks great and is exactly
what we as community need. I genuinely look forward to using it.

It is a lot of work getting this stuff in place, and the last thing I
intended was to imply anything else. It was merely my understanding
that by pointing us at your test server you were giving the community
an opportunity to review and comment upon your work before you rolled
it into production. The issues I commented on are merely minor
niggles I have with the current implementation.

Reviewing my comments I appreciate the wording and tone could have
been better, and I am perhaps sometimes overly dogmatic in fighting my
case. I assure you the only reasons I offer these criticisms though
is because I care, as I hope to be a frequent user of the website and
infrastructure you have generously put in place.

With regards to actions speaking louder than words, I am working to
establish a community website for Geek Down with related goals. When
this site is ready I hope to receive any comments and criticisms you
and others have; as I doubt very much I'll get it right first time.
In the interim I would be very interested in speaking with you about
your experiences with media wiki setup and any issues you have had in
installation/administration etc... Will you be at the meeting
tomorrow?

R.
