the main selling points for me are,

a wind turbine is not a permanent structure.
this windturbine makes the orkney energy gateway viable, able to financially
stand on it's own, allowing the low rent rates to clean n green energy
start-ups.
what a wonderful symbol of our commitment to green energy it would be.

but mostly because it makes the Orkney Energy Gateway center both possible,
and effective.
think of it like a catalyst for other green tech in the region.

apologies for spamming EVERYONE... but it's just one of those important
issues.
