See I have a tendency to delete the entire quoted message, especially
for things like mailing lists or forum posts. I hate trawling through
pages of the original message or quotes of quotes of quotes, without
finding an answer or continuation of a discussion.

In my experience most mail clients default to top posting also but
then again I've never really looked into it.
