[dundee] Why is Everythin on Linux Such a Ball Ache?

In the config file are

anon_mkdir_write_enable=
anon_root=

set and if to what, you might also want to set
anon_mkdir_write_enable=YES and anon_root=/srv/ftp or whatever
directory you set at that step.

What are the ownership and permissions on the directory for the FTP
root? (and any parent directories)

Also does the daemon start correctly and what's in /var/log for FTP?

If you could pastebin the config files or parts of it somewhere that
might help also.
