[dundee] [ubuntu-uk] Non-technical events?

there is an interesting thread on the ubuntu-uk mailinglist just now.

discussing attending non-technical events to promote Linux and FLOSS.

I think this is  something a few of us have discussed in the manner of
having a more general public presence.

should we be attending more events ?
should we have a reasonably portable booth set-up ? (something we can get to
events at short notice)

Is there a reason why were not going to more events geeky or otherwise ?
