BUYING NEW COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
General recommendations based on the experiences of Tagtool users:

Graphics card
This is the single most important component for running the Tagtool program. The ATI Radeon series has worked with good results (eg. X1600, HD2600). It's not recommended to use computers with integrated graphics cards.

Generally integrated graphics chips are not advisable, although the
current generation (like the Nvidia chips on the new Macbooks) work ok.
Depending on the OpenGL extensions supported, some functions might
be disabled (like Anti-Aliasing, or the screenshot function).
CPU
Any fairly modern CPU should suffice - we work with Intel Dual core processors, but we have also tested it with AMD processors (Sempron 3000+, Athlon 64 X2).

RAM
Processor and RAM requirements are pretty low, with tests
everything runs fine on an AMD Sempron with 512MB RAM, for example
USB slots

There should be a minimum of 3 free USB slots (for the gamepad, the Tagtool controls, and the graphics tablet)
