Richard Stallman is visiting Edinburgh to give talks on 26th & 28th August
2011 as part of the Turing Edinburgh International Technology Festival.
Event Details:
26th August (Edinburgh) - “Copyrights vs. Community” (15.30~17.30) at
Surgeon's Hall, Nicolson Street, University of Edinburgh.
This is a free event where registration is required.

28th August (Edinburgh) - “A Free Digital Society” (13.30~14.30) at
Surgeon's Hall, Nicolson Street, University of Edinburgh.
This is a paid event (£75 with a buy one get one free offer) where there are
13 speakers giving talks throughout the day.

talks that are being given which might be of interest

23rd August (Leeds) - “For a Free Digital Society” (19.00~22.00) at Leeds
Metropolitan University
There is no web site or additional info yet, looks like it is being
organised by WYLUG (West Yorkshire Linux Users Group).
24th August (Nottingham) - “Free Software for Your Freedom” (19.30~21.30) at
Nottingham Hackspace, Unit F6, Roden House Business Centre Alfred Street
South.
This has been organised by Nottingham LUG & Nottingham University Computer
Society in association with Nottingham Hackerspace. This is a free event
with only 80 seats available.

25th August (Birmingham) - “Copyrights vs. Community” (18.00~20.00) at
Haworth Lecture Theatre (Building Y2), University of Birmingham
This talk is open to all and will take place in the Haworth Lecture Theatre,
University of Birmingham. The Lecture theatre is in building Y2, which is
the main School of Chemistry building, it's just down the hill from Computer
Science on the right (not to be confused with Chemistry West).
