Hey all!
A quick thing (mostly) just wanted to let people know that Docker 0.7 is out
What does this mean in real terms, well there's links, named containers,
better port redirection and a bunch of bug fixes. The biggest thing though
is the standard linux support. This is huge as far as Docker goes. It no
longer requires a patched Linux kernel running AUFS under the hood. AUFS
is awesome but fairly non standard.
With the new release the support extends too include VFS and DEVICEMAPPER.
Utilising LVM snapshots ( sort of ) to achieve copy on write. What this
means from a day to day basis is it's a step further forwards being
production ready and can now run on off the shelf linux distros. Making
updates a lot easier.
