For those of us who are EU citizens, particularly for those of you in Scotland 
who might have seen an insidious cinema advert claiming otherwise, it is 
worth knowing, if you are going anywhere abroad for your holidays (or work), 
that you can get support and help from ANY other EU-member consulate or 
embassy: to whit, the embassies and consulates of:-

 Austria
 Belgium
 Czech Republic
 Denmark
 Finland
 France
 Germany
 Greece
 Italy
 Luxembourg
 Malta
 Netherlands
 Poland
 Romania
 Spain
 Sweden
 UK

You should also, if you are a UK resident, apply for an EU Health Insurance 
Card, which basically gives you state-provided treatment with the NHS funding 
the bill.
