Good evening one and all,

Apologies for the delay!

Our next meeting will be on September 10th. Hosted by Robert Ladyman, he will be talking about what he's been building -
A utility allowing a control-centre for U-boats ("BdU", which does not exist in the game Silent Hunter 3, other than as a fake series of radio messages) and which is usually operated via humans in a web-forum, to communicate directly with players of the game, in-game, via the existing radio-message infrastructure of the game.

A sort of meta-game, as it were, playing chess with real human beings commanding virtual u-boats. Although interesting in programmatic terms (Python3, KML, databases, digging into unknown file-structures, etc., time and date manipulation)

The meeting starts at half seven but people start arriving from about
seven on-wards. When you arrive just tell the security guard at the
door your there for MakerSpace and he'll show you where we are.
