One thing we should not overlook is ease of parking.
Durham has always been bad for parking in the city centre and many pubs will
not have car parks.
Other possible venues just outside the city (with parking) could be the
Dunelm Ridge at Pity Me or The Church Mouse at Chester Moor, the only
problem with these is that there would be no facilities for power supplies.
The beer is OK but not as cheap as the rowing club and there is food if you
need it.
