Did not manage to fit in the meeting this week.
Fortunately it does not affect me.
It is 17.3 I have on a desktop where I had the BIOS problem on a MSI Mobo and following the changes I mentioned previously everything is still working very reliably.
The Lenovo Think Pad I got from Mark has version 18.1 or (18.3?) installed cannot remember which off hand.

Basically, 17.10 can possibly corrupt your BIOS firmware on certain
computers. See the above links for more info.
