CIty of Munich did 14,000 desktops and have been really successful,althouhg I believe the transition was a little bumpy

Frrench Gendarmarie, have taken 72,000 PC desktops to a spercialised Ubuntu distro.

IT is still very difficult to get folks to change howeverr! In the UK it still seems sadly that get GNU/Linux and OSS to the desktop is a big challenge.
