Sorry this got sent to the list from my other e-mail address :
Hi all
Matt lee is over from the USA he has worked with the Free software
foundation and creative commons and will be giving a talk on 21st
October. about 19:30 venue to be confirmed.
Matt Lee Talks About Stuff
This is basically an hour long talk about free software, free culture
and probably a little bit about Short Circuit 2. I’m giving this talk
in Exeter during October 2014, and I’m available to present at your
event too.
More on the talk (or “performance” as I’m calling it) will be here soon.
So, this is an idea I’ve kinda had bubbling around for a while, and
now I’m going to unleash it on the world. This is a provisionally a
talk about software freedom, but it goes in many different directions
at once.
The talk really breaks down in six subjects, and I talk about each one
for about two to five minutes a piece. There’s a common theme, but
it’s also about you and how you can do awesome things too.
The subjects are:
Free software in general
Free culture in general
FSF/GNU stuff.
GNU FM and Libre.fm, my projects.
GNU social and how that all came to be.
Creative Commons, and some of the work I’m doing there.
“If you care about free software or free culture, go to this talk” –
