[Falkirk] Upcoming Events

Hi Everyone,

There are a couple of upcoming events which may be of interest to some or
all of you:

Our next meeting is on October 7th.  As usual this will take place at the
Park Street Community Education Centre from  1830.  As always if anyone
wants to do a talk, or would like to request a talk on something then please
post to the list or contact myself or Lazzurs off list.

Edinburgh Linux User Group are doing a talk targeted at newcomers to FOSS
and Linux on Thursday the 1st of October , if you are new to this list and
to FOSS and Linux then this may be of interest to you.  There will be a
series of short lightning talks:

Intro to Foss - What it is and why it's good
Which distro? - Choosing and installing a linux distribution
Quick look at Open Office
Overview of GIMP
A look at mathematical packages
Embedded uses.

The Edlug meeting starts at 19:00 at the Education centre on St Marys street
which is about a 10 min walk from Waverly Station.  Just opposite the Worlds
End Pub.

And finally, our very own Lazzurs is giving a talk about Puppet, which for
those of you who dont know is quite a funky system for automating some
system administration tasks.  His talk will be to Scotlug in Glasgow.  More
