Sony's site is Javascript... I would not recommend it, as it disenfranchises
those using non-standard browsers (eg. blind people using reading software)
but if you really want to I'm sure that sites such as
http://www.hotscripts.com can supply you with worthy code....

As for transparant gifs, it really does depend what package you're using how
you do it -- but any package worth its salt will offer it.
