this is exactly where i got my pronunciation of the word linux over 2
years ago.
how would you "see" it in phonetic speech then?

i still say it sounds like "lee-nooks" to me as i wrote in the damn-ed
press release.

i pronounce it as "lin - ux" myself just to be london about it all.

lots of people say "line - ux" but this is probably a conspiracy started
by microsoft just to divide an otherwise peaceful community.

after all is said and done we are talking dialect here not semantics.

life just seems too short to me.
