..so you countered the Windowphile's common argument that the reason a
penguin is the logo is that it's black and white, rather like the standard
presentation on a Linux desktop -- if you can get a desktop.. otherwise
white writing on a black background, also penguin-like! ;-)

I absolutely agree.... no point being pedantic about use of English or
punctuation when the primary objective is to have a pleasant conversation in
a relaxing environment... one's e-mails are not being "marked" (well, not
generally anyway) so as long as the message has been delivered as required
the job has been done.
